Our Mission

The Tennessee Pride Chamber of Commerce advances common business interests, economic growth, and equality in the workplace and society for its LGBTQ+ members, businesses, and allies by providing educational, networking, and community building opportunities.

Our Foundation

The Tennessee Pride Chamber Foundation (TNPCF) was founded in 2015 to assist the LGBTQ+ Chamber of Commerce in funding its educational programming. The TNPCF educates, inspires, and empowers our individual, small business, corporate, and nonprofit members, and the community at-large: who share the values of promoting equality and diversity in business and society.

Our Impact

Create economic opportunities for LGBTQ+ business owners and professionals.

Provide professional development education and programming for LGBTQ+ business professionals, entrepreneurs, and small business owners.

Help corporations and businesses operating in Tennessee create a more inclusive culture for their LGBTQ+ employees and customers.

Our

History

The Tennessee Pride Chamber was founded in 1998 as The Nashville Association of Professional Persons (NAPP) and as a professional networking group. Over the next nine years the group grew and evolved to include education and advocacy initiatives for the LGBTQ+ business community. In January 2007, the group became an LGBT Chamber of Commerce and an affiliate member of the National LGBT Chamber of Commerce. Six years later, we had hired our first full-time Executive Director, and changed our name from NAPP to the LGBT Chamber of Commerce to better align with our mission and vision. In December 2022, we began our new chapter: expansion. We firmly believe that we must advance common business interests, economic growth, and equality in the workplace and society for its LGBT members, businesses, and allies not just locally but throughout the entire state of Tennessee. We changed our name from the Nashville LGBT Chamber of Commerce to Tennessee Pride Chamber.
